APTLON™ 61:
A blend of virgin TFE and a red glass filler.
The primary filler is a short fiber glass added to increase wear resistance and compressive strength while maintaining a low coefficient of friction and resistance to corrosion. The addition of glass has a minimal effect on the electrical properties of TFE.
Material Properties:
- Specific Gravity: 2.15-2.18
- Tensile Strength: 2600-3100 psi
- Elongation: 220%
